I am a big fan of carrying one big canvas bag, and one pretty, small bag. The latter is very important to carry all things I shouldn’t lose, in the worst case that I need to jump off a boat or something. This Hai Vera bag fits the bill for that daily small pretty bag – it’s 100% silk so is quite luxurious in feel and look. I’ve always admired the beauty of cheongsams – gloriously worn by Maggie Cheung in the film “In the mood for love” – and this bag kind of reminds me of them. The dimensions of this bag are height 18 cm x width 18 cm x depth 5cm x handle 17 cm. The bag looks small but fits quite a lot! My kindle, gloves, lip balms, air pod pro, and kindle (2022 release) all fit with ease. If I don’t stuff the bag, I can also close the top with the internal magnetic clasp – which makes it perfect to carry while traveling (as pictured: I took it to Jeju Island’s volcanic rocks) This goldish, beige-ivory color is a bit tricky to pair though. In the winter, I usually wear it with my beige winter coat, or in the summer – pair it with a white or cream-colored outfit which kind of limits its use a little bit. In closing: would I buy another Hai bag? Yes. Do I think it’s functional and worth my money? Yes. Am I careful never to spill anything on my Hai bag lest it's ruined forever?
