Why did we create Unvarnished Clothing?

You might know me as the founder of a photo review platform. I have a whole manifesto on the problems with online shopping today. So why did I decide to create resale? Aren't there plenty of resale platforms?

1. Women kept asking for it. Not a bad reason to create something! In all seriousness, it felt like a natural extension of photo reviews - research + commerce all in one.

2. I was personally unhappy with what's already out there. It didn't feel right to post contemporary brands that were still in excellent condition at a much higher price point alongside $5 H&M leggings. Don't get me started on the crazies that seem to congregate on FB Marketplace. My logic was, how great would it be to have a contemporary brand utopia - photo reviews, resale, even discovering new brands that you've never seen before?

Who am I?

I'm just a regular lady who has all your typical online shopping struggles. It's crazy to me that with all this new technology and software, the actual online shopping experience for clothes hasn't changed in 25 years. I don't think I know any woman who is thrilled with how clothes shopping works today. So this is my small contribution to other online shoppers.

I'm a personal lover of all things French fashion. I'm fallen a little out of love with Sezane but I'm still obsessed with Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot with aspirations to eventually acquire Isabel Marant and YSL pieces. And of course, I'm always on the hunt to discover more!
